“We’re aware we have an excellent product that delivers impressive results when it comes to protecting and maintaining more demanding systems, but it’s great to receive such an overwhelming vote of confidence from our customers in a wide range of applications. That’s the most important thing for us to achieve,” says Product Manager, Emily Tame.
A large 1,200 student independent school, Oakham in Rutland, Leicestershire, is already benefiting from the results according to one survey respondent, Assistant Estates Manager, Patrick Trower.
“We trialled MagnaClean two years ago and it worked so well, we’ve put in two more and had no problems with any of the system heat exchangers to date so I’m confident it’s doing the job. It’s well-designed and built to last. We’ve proved it works, so we’ll be installing further units as the plant upgrade programme continues in the future,” he comments.
At a central London church, two MagnaClean Industrial units were put to the test on a sizeable heating installation where it has provided an excellent solution. Pipework from the original system goes back 50 - 70 years and had been causing major problems requiring the installation of a new boiler every 5 - 6 years.
“With the two Industrial units operating in conjunction with a water treatment system, there have been no problems. The water in the system is now clean and the boiler life time has been extended saving ongoing maintenance and replacement costs running into thousands of pounds,” comments Norman Morley, Director, B & N Building Services who managed the project.
Another survey respondent, who runs a 26 bedroom care home reports that his central heating system had been transformed following the introduction of MagnaClean Industrial.
“I couldn’t believe how much sludge was removed in the first week. It was phenomenal. Now after 18 months, we’re still removing a pint of sludge from the system every month which shows the unit is doing its job and protecting the boiler. The system has been transformed. The cold spots have been eliminated, the radiators are hotter and it’s operating far more efficiently,” says Mike Hucker, Senior Partner, Breach House Care Home, Stourbridge, West Midlands.
MagnaClean Industrial operates in two key ways. Firstly, it purges even the most demanding and dirtiest commercial system of the potentially damaging iron oxide. Secondly, the ongoing operation of the heating system is improved significantly as the water circulates through what is effectively a ‘protected’ iron oxide-free zone.
